English Rosewood Canterbury from the Mid 19th Century

A beautiful carved Victorian Rosewood Canterbury with a single drawer. There are four shaped fretwork dividers with the front one having gadrooned leaf carvings. A Canterbury was originally used to hold sheet music sheets and now they are used as magazine racks. This Canterbury retains its warm original color and patina and has a fresh French polish. Circa 1850.
