Louis XVI Walnut Armchairs from the Early 19th Century
A very nice pair of walnut armchairs with leather seat from the early 19th Century. These chairs are from France and in the style of Louis XVI. The crest of the backs are presented with an elaborate bow carving and flanked by die join. A unique splat to the back gives ample support in an understated way. The arms are fluted on the supports and leads you to the square tapered fluted legs. These chairs have a rich worn patina and the seat have been re-upholsted. Circa 1830-1840.
