A very fine English sideboard. A real space filler and focal piece. This is what we call a step up sideboard. The top has service space and has a step up portion with two sliding panelled fronts cantered panel with lady. On the top of this section there are areas where a brass gallery once existed. (No gallery with this piece). There are six strong legs each highly decorated notice the detailed feet, there is a shelf for support and storage. Two deep well drawers and tree drawers across the front. Painted and accented very well with gold highlights. Very impressive piece. Measures: Serving height of top 38.25″.

19th Century English Inlaid Sideboard

19th century English inlaid sideboard with a step up back. This sideboard has wood inlay to the front and sides. Very intricate inlay. The sides have a large fan inlays. The front has figural characters, Floral, leaf and vine, quarter fan and an oval urn inlay to the front doors and drawers. There are two cabinets (one with a wine rack), long center drawer and a lower warming drawer. There are six reeded and turned legs and rounded corners on the top to match the shape, these are inlaid on the top with a fan design. A beautiful grain mahogany top and string inlays leading to a step up back which is inlaid on the front of the step up. This sideboard has a delightful color and patina. Exquisite piece. Mortise and tenon on the back, brass handles and oak interiors. Circa 1820-1830.

19th century English bow front three-piece chest on chest with a pull-out linen folding slide. Beautiful mahogany wood with subtle figuring. Top crown has dentil, egg and dart molding. Middle section five functional drawers, each with round brass pulls decorated with lion faces. Bottom features three drawers a pull-out linen slide and splay foot design, mahogany board sides. Excellent quality, circa 1820-1840.

19th century pair of Venetian walnut large armchairs. An unusual pair with very unique details, turned legs and stretchers, graceful front stretcher, reeded and scrolled arms, embossed leather seats (one has been repaired and is strong), large nailheads around the leather and fabric, then the top. Beautiful shell carving with a carved pediment on the top having a royal style crown. There are two finials on each side of the crest. These chairs are very sound and have been waxed to a fine waxed patina.

19th century English oak and inlaid mule chest which has been converted to a fixed top and two doors opening to reveal cabinet space. This was done to support a TV. There are two functional drawers below the two-door. Great color English oak cabinet with raised arched panels to the front and thick panelled sides. Three board top with a worn patina. Notice the starburst inlay. Ebony and satinwood woods hand cut to form the starburst. There are initials inlaid but not as noticeable in person as in the photograph, circa 1820s.

19th Century English Cordite Case with Coat of Arms

A handsome 19th century English cordite case with leather carries strap, lid, and a coat of arms on the front. Nice heavy strap for carrying and top leather strap. No locking strap has been broken off. Made of painted canvas. Very nice quality. Cordite was developed for military use at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich and at the Waltham Abbey Royal Gunpowder Mills, from 1889 onwards. Cordite is a product of smokeless propellants made by combining two high explosives: nitrocellulose and nitro-glycerine, it is a double-base propellant. Cordite is classified as an explosive, but it is normally used as a propellant for guns and rockets. This surviving ‘bucket’ is in good condition and makes a fine decorative item. 1900s-1920s

19th Century Sheraton Mahogany Server

A striking 19th century Sheraton mahogany carved server with a breakfront. Rounded ends have drawers and cabinet storage. The center section to has storage behind the two carved doors. Unreal carvings adorn this server, with a french influence. Notice the oval fronts carved in bell flower and bell flower swags topped by the knotted ribbon, centered with the carved urn. Center front drawer has a breakfront with an urn raised on the drawer, rinceau carvings on each side. The side drawers are accented with swags of drapes. Carved molding around the edge of the top. Resting on tapered legs and bell flower carvings and ending with a spade foot. There is a cellaret inside the right cabinet. A remarkable piece.
