Excellent choice of premier mahogany for the fronts of the drawers, notice the board sides and the beautiful grain and top section. Proper pierced batwing brass Chippendale pulls. 18th Century Walnut Continental Chest of Drawers

18th Century Walnut Continental Chest of Drawers

18th Century Walnut Continental Chest of Drawers

A fine 18th century walnut chest of drawers. Serpentine front and sides. This piece has obvious repairs but this gives the piece character and an example of how people used pieces and cared for them too. Made of solid wood, carved feet and apron. Not the original hardware but nice quality brass applied. The sides are made of solid walnut curved to shaped and you can see the shrinkage through the years. The side aprons carved to compliment front. Just a charming chest of drawers. C. 1790-1800.
