19th Century French Portico Mantel Clock

A very nice quality French rosewood and satinwood Portico mantel clock with boxwood inlay and fine boxwood stringing to the columns, finishing with brass gilt capitals. The clock has a decorative pendulum and face with silvered dial. The movement is an eight day with outside count wheel which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell, circa 1870-1880.

An French figural clock of a woman holding a rake with gathered flowers in her apron. She bears a pleasant expression and stands in a jaunty pose atop a rather striking striped red and white marble base. The clock has an enameled dial with Arabic numerals and the base is elevated on scrolled mounted feet.

An Early Triangular Face Banjo Clock

An early triangle banjo clock in a mahogany case with skillfully executed marquetry work and string inlay illustrating morning glory vines at the throat. The weight driven clock has reverse painted detailing in the corners of the glass door covering the dial which has Roman numerals. A brass eagle serves as the finial and the clock rests on a tapered bracket type base. The original key with a wooden knob is present.
