19 C. Foldover Empire Side Card Table
Lovely little early 19th.c. foldover card table of continental origin c.1820. Stands flat against the wall as a handsome little console table, just 26″ wide. Rotate and fold open the top to reveal a green baize playing surface for cards set within a mahogany surround with shallow lip at the edge. Below the playing surface and is a neat little fitted mahogany interior for cards and chips etc. A single oak lined drawer with dividers and mahogany veneered base. Raised on gracefully curved X frame legs joined with a turned stretcher. Very good unrestored condition, solid and sturdy with original lock and ormolu mounts to the drawer front and legs.
