Empire styling features full turned pilasters, plinth base and glass doors protected by antique gold crossed arrows. Constructed of Acacia solids and finished is an antique black rubbed through to a warm brown and contrasted with a sage green interior.

A fine 19th century Empire mahogany three-drawer commode with white marble columns flanking the drawers. The top drawer has a secret unlocking mechanism (not so secret because we photographed it). Beautiful flamed grain mahogany. These are thick cut panels which are bookmatched. Nice oval pulls from brass. Tapered legs. There is a sticker of a previous owner. Purchased in Europe, circa 1830-1840s.

A fine example built in beautiful mahogany. Featuring recessed panels accented with brass trim, brass screen, inverted cup style front foot with brass covering. Fluted details on front casing are brass inlays which provide a wonderfully sophisticated touch to this fabulous piece. C. 1880-1890.

Lovely little early 19th.c. foldover card table of continental origin c.1820. Stands flat against the wall as a handsome little console table, just 26″ wide. Rotate and fold open the top to reveal a green baize playing surface for cards set within a mahogany surround with shallow lip at the edge. Below the playing surface and is a neat little fitted mahogany interior for cards and chips etc. A single oak lined drawer with dividers and mahogany veneered base. Raised on gracefully curved X frame legs joined with a turned stretcher. Very good unrestored condition, solid and sturdy with original lock and ormolu mounts to the drawer front and legs.

This 19th century French Empire mahogany plant stand has a marble top and fluted columns which have brass fittings. There are brass mounts on the edges and base and top of the columns. Very sturdy and excellent condition. C.1880
