French Ormolu Chandelier

A french ormolu chandelier with 18 lights and slight crystal accents. This chandelier has incredible chased detailed foliage.  All arms are richly chased with textured background, scrolls and acanthus leaves and end in scalloped and pierced saucers and candle cups. The arms lead to a center pierced bulbus column. They connect below the column and covered by a canopy with finial. The original canopy to connect to the ceiling is present. This chandelier has been electrified for American standards. C. 1870

Louis XVI Ormolu Wall Lights

These are an elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI ormolu two arm wall lights. Each wall light is centered by a fine bottom pinecone finial below the torchue column decorated with water lilies, ribbon, reeded pattern and a distinctive rams heads. The top is a repeat of the lower lilies and gives a flame appearance.  The two scrolled arms display wonderful large acanthus leaves with reeded candle cups and lovely bobeches. All original gilt. The shades were added and these are from a prominent southern estate. Ready with wiring too.

Pair of French 19th Century Ormolu and White Carrara Marble Candlesticks

A superb pair of 19th century Louis XVI candlesticks of white Carrara marble and outstanding Ormolu design. A notable design with the two winged putti figures with a draped cloth. resting on a plate of ormolu with a rais-de-coeur edging. Below is fine bead edging. The marble columns are decorated with leaf and berried garland wrapped around the each column ending with a laurel wreath. Above is an impressive corinthian capital topped by an urn style candle cup. This outstanding work rest upon decorative feet. Circa 1830-1840
